New Music: Aria Rostami "Information Age"

I’ve not stopped listening to Aria Rostami for like two weeks now and I can’t see that changing any time soon. Their record on the incredibly forward thinking Zoom Lens label is like a soundtrack of emotional dance (an intersection of Iranian diaspora and American culture according to the presser) to warm confused but open souls. An especially masterful moment of the record is the seven minute track, Information Age - which, rather than playing with the same loops and variations, transitions into completely unique scenes multiple times throughout the piece as if you’re on a Trans-Siberian train looking out the window passing through different biomes.
