New Music: Golden Syrup "Didn't Go Home"

There is something simply unsettling yet kinda addictive in Didn’t Go Home, the latest single from Melbourne’s Golden Syrup. On top of an orchestra of detuned, rusted mallets, hypnotic percussion and bass glitches reminiscent of a horror movie skipping on VHS, is a gorgeously crafted and all-too-relateable story about staying the night when you probably should’ve gone home. Then again, maybe staying isn’t too bad. Could this be the experimental/drone walk of pride anthem for Rihanna and Drake we’ve all been waiting for?

Golden Syrup is launching Didn’t Go Home in Melbourne tonight supported by Time for Dreams, Moon Rituals and Various Asses.
