New Music: Purr "Immersion"

Intimate seems as if it could be the result of an accident, but I’d prefer to think of it as a carefully considered and constructed work of ambient bliss. And it doesn’t really matter which one is true. The end result is something beautiful, touching and well, incredibly intimate. Opening track Immersion is a wonderful collage of sounds that is kinda like finding an old VHS that your dad kept taping over and over, jumping between your trip to Wonderland and Aunt Peggy’s 2nd Wedding. They might seem uncomplimentary, but the result of these different elements together is one of warm yet unspecific nostalgia.

You can pick up Intimate from Melbourne’s Purr on tape, CD or digital over here.
