New Music: Embaci “Flight and Destruction”

A bit late to this one, but it’s still totally worth talking about extensively. Brooklyn’s Embaci has teamed up with a bunch of collaborators in Elysia CramptonNON and N.A.A.F.I. to produce something truly transcending. My favourite track from their latest digital tape would be the opener, which shows Embaci bringing a human element to the futuristic and industrial universe Elysia creates so intimately. Embaci sounds melancholy and reflective, trying to make sense of a wasteland of hate left behind by our species while, all at once, sounding unsettling yet comforting. Probably appropriate for this week.
