New Music: Culte "1997"

Through a haze of soft guitars and a heavily reverbed vocal take, Culte’s 1997 captures the warm feelings I get when I think about dogs outside Piedimonte’s. Sounding a little like Grouper covering Foxes in Fiction, 1997 is a direct and simply gorgeous track invoking beautiful imagery not only in the dizzyingly beautiful sounds, but in the wonderful lyrics (“quiet cream walls, warm arms engulfing, hazy afternoon”). Cannot wait to hear more.
